Back to School….
Last week I returned to my old school, Kirkcaldy High, for the first time since leaving as a sixth year pupil back in 1991. My colleague Laura and I had been invited by Audrey Diamond, Kirkcaldy High’s Principal Teacher of Guidance to take part in their 5th year student’s induction day. It was a fantastic event aimed at inspiring the 15 and 16 year olds to make the most of their year ahead by focussing on a number of key themes including enterprise, employability and creating opportunities for their own success and development. Networking the Female Way (or Is It?)
Personnel Today recently published an article on the differences in how men and women network. It makes for some really interesting reading and as a great believer in networking as a business tool and as a confirmed serial networker ( I would actually go to the opening of an envelope), it gave me some food for thought. Scottish Leadership Awards 2011
Last night, the newly refurbished National Museum played host to the Scottish Leadership Awards 2011 gala dinner and awards ceremony.
